1.4 Goals, Technology, and Happiness - Jeff Sachs

Jeff Sachs is an economist, but his work goes far beyond that. He has advised the United Nations, Barack Obama, he has written constitutions, reorganized economies, and somehow, is equally passionate about all of it. Our discussion is, as always, about sustainability at its core, but more than ever this conversation makes it clear that sustainability is not one thing. It’s about the connections between ideas, the ties that bind. The fact that he was my professor at Columbia has almost nothing to with today’s episode, except that’s not 100% true.
