This paper makes the case for placing solar arrays and wind turbines on government owned oil and gas land to speed up the energy transition in the United States. By finding common ground amidst political division, we have the chance to preserve land, help small producers shift to renewables, and take advantage of streamlined approval processes. Now it’s time to spread the word to policy makers and stakeholders across the board.
